Who it suits
Limpertsberg sits north of Ville Haute, a residential grid of late-19th and early-20th-century townhouses that houses much of the University of Luxembourg's old campus. It suits travellers who want to be central but quiet, culture visitors going to the Grand Théâtre or Villa Vauban art museum, and repeat visitors who’ve already done the old town and want a more residential feel.
It doesn’t suit anyone dependent on public transport into Kirchberg outside tram hours, or travellers wanting a full range of restaurants on their block — dining is scattered and closes early.
Price and walkability
A handful of small hotels and B&Bs, plus the four-star Parc Belair on the border with Belair. Doubles typically run 140-200 EUR, roughly 30-40 EUR under Ville Haute for the same walking distance to sights.
Walkable: Villa Vauban and its park (10 minutes), the Grand Théâtre (5 minutes), Glacis square where the funfair and Sunday market are held (5 minutes), and Ville Haute via Boulevard Royal (12 minutes). The tram stops on Avenue de la Faïencerie for a direct run to Kirchberg.
