Who it suits
Hollerich runs west from Gare toward the motorway, mixing residential streets with converted warehouses. Rotondes — two former railway rotundas — hosts concerts, exhibitions and the city's best food-truck weekends. The neighbourhood suits travellers who want a modern, slightly grittier feel, food-focused visitors, and design-conscious guests who like the aesthetic of exposed brick and steel over gilt cornices.
It doesn’t suit first-timers on a short trip who want to walk to castles and old towns. The historic core is 20-25 minutes on foot, and the streets between here and there aren’t the prettiest walk.
Price and food
Rooms are limited — a handful of hotels including the Casa Fabiana and some newer aparthotels. Rates run 120-180 EUR, cheaper than Ville Haute by 40-60 EUR.
Walkable: Rotondes cultural centre, some of the city's best restaurants (Bouneweger Stuff, Um Plateau, and a rotating list of newer spots), and Gare Centrale in 10 minutes. The tram doesn’t reach here yet — use bus 4, 15 or 22 for the old town.

Is Hollerich noisy?
Not really. Rotondes events end by midnight and the residential streets are quiet. Traffic on Route d’Esch can be heard from front rooms — ask for a courtyard-facing room.
