The reliable options

Sofitel Le Grand Ducal (€225) has four Tesla destination chargers and two universal 22 kW points, all free for guests. Novotel Kirchberg (€121) has eight 22 kW chargers in the underground garage. Melia Luxembourg (€173) has six. DoubleTree Kirchberg (€134) has four. Outside the city, Mondorf Parc Hôtel has four fast chargers on-site — genuinely useful if you\'re doing a Moselle-and-spa loop.

Charging on the road

You almost don\'t need hotel charging in Luxembourg. Chargy points are at basically every municipal car park, and the newer SuperChargy sites push 175 kW. Vianden has chargers at the castle car park, Echternach has them by the lake, and every motorway service area has fast DC. A castles-and-gorges road trip is one of the easier EV drives in Europe.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Do I need a Chargy card?

Not really — most points accept contactless card or the app. A Chargy subscription card (free) still gets you the cheapest rate, about €0.28 per kWh.

Are hotel chargers free?

At most of the picks above, yes, for guests. Confirm on booking — a few have moved to €0.35 per kWh billing.

Doing good is the business: every booking through Stay Luxembourg funds one verified tonne of carbon removal — same room, same price, no markup.
